Where does the sailing trip go?

Sailing with a Clipper is quite an experience for students!

Without good cooperation there will be no wind in your sails!

Sailing with a historic Klipper on the Wadden Sea or the IJsselmeer is quite a spectacle for students! Every day there are new experiences and above all they make a lot of fun together! Whether you want to end the school year together or organize an introduction week: sailing provides good team spirit and, above all, lots of fun! Check out this sailing package for school trips!

Who hoist the sails?

The mutual cooperation is put to the test by cooperating on the ship, because without cooperation there will be no wind in your sails! A school trip or introduction week sailing is therefore the perfect way to get to know each other through and through. The ship functions as a connecting element. In any case, the students will not forget names such as a jib, sword and steering wheel! After the sailing trip they can call themselves true sailors.

Decide for yourself where the sailing trip is going

Sailing to the Wadden Islands or to Amsterdam? It is possible to completely give your own twist to the sailing trip, that’s what makes it so much fun! While sailing to the Wadden Islands, the students can experience the drying up on the Wad. A sports and game element can also be added to this! While drying up, life on the Wad can also be studied or for enthusiasts there is room for swimming or sunbathing.
For more action, it is also fun to go power kiting on the beach! Sailing to Amsterdam is a completely different experience over the IJsselmeer and the Markermeer. On this sailing route there is plenty of opportunity for sightseeing in Volendam and Amsterdam. In Amsterdam, the ship moors near the Central Station and that is ideal for an afternoon in the capital! On the return journey, the Klipper sails along the Frisian coast towards Harlingen.

Sea air makes you hungry!

Sailing on an empty stomach is not a good idea, so care must be taken for the internal person! The ship is equipped with an extensive kitchen where delicious dishes can be prepared. The students themselves take care of the shopping and the preparation of the meals. They also ensure that the ship is ready for departure again! If you want the groceries to be done prior to the trip, the Zonnewind menu for schools is a solution!

Arrival and departure

The ship departs on Mondays from Nieuwe Willemshaven in Harlingen. On Friday the ship will moor again in Nieuwe Willemshaven. It is also possible to book a three day sailing trip. The parents can also follow the route of the ship ‘live’ on the internet, which is great for the home front!
