Sailing a large vessel

The ships, Passaat and Poseidon. Our weekends for individual participants provide an excellent opportunity to experience sailing a large vessel in a simple yet pleasant manner.
Passengers have the option of lending a hand on a voluntary basis. If you wish to actively participate in sailing the ship, then the crew will show you the ropes before departure.

The programme begins at 21.00 hours on a Friday evening, when you board either the Poseidon or Passaat (you will be informed a few weeks in advance which vessel you are to sail on).
Then on the Saturday, the ship departs for Terschelling / Vlieland. You will also spend the night aboard the clipper the harbour of Terschelling / Vlieland.
And finally, on the Sunday, we sail home to Harlingen. Enjoy both a breath of fresh sea air and the open expanse of the Waddenzee.

This trip is provided on the basis of two sharing a two-man cabin, while duvets, towels and complete catering (2 x breakfast, 2 x lunch, 1 x dinner, tea, coffee and cold beverages: soft drinks, beer and wine) are supplied.
You are also welcome to bring along a bottle of something stronger yourself.

Cycling and having fun Participants have the opportunity to take a cycling trip on the island, in which case an additional fee of € 10 is charge for the bicycle rental and a map of the island.

Embarkation in Harlingen on Fridays from 21.00 hours.
Disembarkation in Harlingen on Sundays around 17.00 hours.
