There are 3 ways to reach Harlingen by car:
From the Afsluitdijk follow the signs to Harlingen, 3 km before Harlingen, after the petrol station, turn left at the crossroads (Sign Kimswerd or Camping Zeehoeve.) Stay on this road which will take you along beside the dyke. At the end of the road is the Willemshaven. This is the docks where the Passaat and the Poseidon are moored.

Via the Polders
Take the main road in the direction of Lemmer, Joure, Sneek and the Afsluitdijk, turn off right and follow the above directions.
Via Leeuwarden
Take the exit Harlingen/Havens before you reach Harlingen (the ferry to Terschelling and Vlieland is also indicated on this sign.) Continue until the sign to Amsterdam and take this exit. After 200 meters you can see the docks, the Willemshaven, on the right hand side. Follow the road, take the first right over the railway line, then right again and continue until you see the Passaat or the Poseidon.
Public transport
You can take an Interliner bus to Harlingen from Alkmaar of Leeuwarden. These leave every half hour and will take you to the harbour. From there it’s 5 minutes walk to the Willemshaven. Trains also leave every half hour from Leeuwarden and stop in the Willemshaven at the station “Harlingen-Haven.”
Parking
You drive untill the ships in the harbourground, where you can load and unload. Borsch has a parkhouse on this place, there is place enough to park your car.
