Brandaris Race The Brandaris Race took place for the 14th time last Saturday marking the end of this year’s sailing season. True to tradition, the Passaat and Poseidon were once again participants, setting sail with a light Southwest 2. The Passaat had an impressive start, as the third to cross the start just a few seconds after 11.30 am. With a good free wind, a highly motivated crew and plenty of attention to detail it was a perfect race. All the stops were pulled; as well as the usual rigging we had an additional stay sail, mizzenstay sail, water sail, jib-water sail and genoa. All efforts resulting in 2nd place in the class Large Clippers with a time of 2.24.29. Bravo!
